Mark Barrett
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Inspired after studying and working in the construction industry, Mark established Risby Homes in 1993 with the goal to create high quality residential developments and put home buyers at the heart of the process.
As managing director, Mark discovers new sites for future developments while overseeing the smooth running of the business.
Olly Barrett
CONSTRUCTION DIRECTOR
Keeping it in the Barrett family, Mark’s son Olly is responsible for making sure every Risby Home is produced to the same exceptional standard, checking care and attention goes into every element of the build process. With over 15-years house building experience, including the renovation and development of his own home, Olly loves working with customers in the design stage to create fully personalised family homes.
Amy Owen
OFFICE MANAGER
Daughter to Mark and sister to Olly, Amy keeps the Risby team working seamlessly together, responsible for all the administrative aspects of the business.
Amy loves to see the individual touches each buyer chooses for their homes.
Paul Littlewood
SITE MANAGER
With a keen eye for detail, Paul’s role as site manager is to build a strong team who are passionate about building the highest quality homes. While he’s only been in the industry for seven years, he’s already achieved the highest standards on his previous developments. When he’s not on site, you’ll find him either playing or watching football.
Iain Pettit
SITE MANAGER
Iain brings outstanding technical expertise to Risby Homes, with 13 years’ experience as an NHBC building inspector and valuable time as a site manager at Countryside Properties. His comprehensive background in inspecting everything from basements to high-rise apartments ensures our homes meet and exceed industry standards. Leading our Figham Gate II development in Beverley, Iain’s commitment to quality and attention to detail aligns perfectly with our reputation for building homes of exceptional character and craftsmanship.
Jemima Clarke

With 15 years of customer care experience, Jemima understands the importance of happy homeowners and is here to make your Risby home-buying journey unforgettable for all the right reasons. With over two decades of industry experience, Amanda brings exceptional customer service expertise to the Risby Homes family. Having previously worked with large volume housebuilders, she combines deep industry knowledge with a genuine passion for helping people find their perfect home. Amanda values the personal touch that comes with being part of a family-owned business and takes pride in ensuring every customer’s journey is smooth and enjoyable. Her commitment to understanding each buyer’s unique needs makes her an invaluable member of our sales team.
Joanne Allen
INTERIOR DESIGNER
A successful artist and creative at heart, it goes without saying that Jo loves interiors. Since 2016 Jo’s been designing our development show homes, decorating each to demonstrate their full potential.
Her favourite features include the kitchen area bi-fold doors creating an abundance of light on the ground floor and working with features like the secret doors within our latest house types.

We visited the the Risby show homes open day and were very impressed with the high quality of the homes and the professionalism of the staff. We had a lovely time being shown around the site by Richard and meeting and chatting to staff and future home owners. The atmosphere was relaxed and we did not feel under any pressure to buy a home.

We loved that we could make changes to the plans and individualise everything – we added an extension and made design changes to our kitchen. The range we could choose from was extensive and we fully designed our own kitchen and bathrooms and made changes such as to the staircase and location of the patio. Everyone was so helpful and informative throughout the whole process, particularly Olly and Trina and we would not hesitate recommending Risby to others. We will be 4 years in our Risby home this year and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new home. Our buying experience was very positive and we were able to make modifications to our design which better suited our needs without any issue. Snagging was no problem, the issues were small and were dealt with quickly at our convenience. The quality of the home is great and better than any national house builders homes we’ve seen. 5/5 highly recommended.

I’d recommend a Risby home to everyone. The company is the right size to give that personal touch.

I’d recommend a Risby home to everyone.
