We’re proud to announce that our site manager Olly Barrett has won a Quality Award in the first round of the NHBC Pride In The Job Awards – for excellence in on-site management for the North East region.
The winners have been chosen from a pool of more than 16,000 site managers from all over the UK over a period of 12 months, representing the top 3%.
The skills assessed during this period include consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety.
Olly will attend the Regional Award ceremonies and go on to compete in the next stage of the competition for the Seal of Excellence.
We are thrilled to have been recognised for the pride we take in our hard work and this award is a demonstration of our attention to detail.
A Pride In The Job Award is the highest industry accolade that site manager can achieve.
NHBC Chief Executive Steve Wood said: “NHBC launched Pride in the Job in 1980, with the clear aim of promoting and driving the highest standards in new home building. 38 years on, this drive for excellence remains very much at the heart of the competition.
“Pride in the Job recognises the hugely important role site managers play in delivering high quality new homes for residents and homeowners across the UK. Their role is undoubtedly one of the toughest in house building, they really do make the difference to quality on site.
“Many congratulations to all of the 2018 Quality Award Winners.”
