Risby apprentice, Reece, is an award winner

We’re proud to announce that Risby Homes apprentice, Reece Clark, has recently been awarded for his talent and hard work.

On Friday 9th March, our very own Reece won The G4C Yorkshire and the Humber Trade Apprentice of the Year 2018. He was up against numerous nominees, and the two shortlisted candidates were invited to a ceremony in Leeds, where the winner would be revealed.

For its 4th year, the annual award ceremony was held at The Hilton City hotel, and sponsored by EN:Able Futures – an apprenticeship recruitment agency based in Yorkshire. There were nine winners overall, and Reece was one of the lucky few to be commended for their efforts in the industry. It was an evening of dinner and dancing; a formal black-tie party, and winners were announced between each course.

The awards provide an exclusive opportunity for Yorkshire and the Humber to recognise and celebrate exemplary individuals in the construction sector. G4C are an organisation that support and shape the future of our industry, and they’re all about showcasing the achievements of potential leaders with a bright future.

The standard of construction in our area is some of the highest in the UK, and the awards prove that. Entries are open to the whole sector; from buildings to infrastructure to all parts of the supply and demand chain, for all disciplines, professions, trades and levels.

After beginning his work at Risby in July 2017, Reece was nominated by his college tutors for his diligent attitude – and Olly and Ben, our site manager and assistant site manager, agreed. We’re proud of him for being a great asset to our construction team, and for earning fantastic recognition for his work at Risby.

Here’s to Reece’s bright future with Risby, and hopefully more awards to come!
